Heres a singer/pianist with a pedigree. His dad is the famous Richard, and after NYJO, cruise ships, the Dorchester, Ronnies, Dubai, New York now hes going to play Wakefield. Hes a songwriter and composer in his own right and is preparing to record a second album which will include original material as well as covers of the classics. You could describe him as a cross between Nat King Cole and Jamie Cullum (unkindly) but Ian Shaw says of him His piano playing is a cross between Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans and Les Dawson" In the Observer, Dave Gelly said : Songs at the piano dont get much sharper than this...Whether hes performing his own material or reshaping an old favourite Were so pleased he can drop in to see us at Wakefield Sports Club. ...more details

How to get your gig added to the Gig Guide

At present gigs are added to the calendar by a small team of volunteers and friends of Jazz Yorkshire.

We will endeavour to get your gigs added as soon as we can but it is recommended to send them over as early as you can as it might take a few weeks to get them into the guide.

It helps if you can include website links for the artist and promoter as this helps people when they want to find out more about your gig.

It will also be quicker if you can send a Word or RTF document with the details rather than just sending a printed flyer

new feature - residencies

The Gig Guide now includes pub and club gigs which take place on a weekly basis. If you organise or know of a pub gig which should be added please let us know.
