Unsurprisingly this band was created to celebrate the music of Miles Davis; in particular the tunes from the seminal album Kind of Blue. Terry has arranged a number of other songs associated with Miles as well so a night of familiar classics is in store. His best known band Cubanabop got Terry recognised beyond his home on the South Coast and he is making another bid for a national tour with this ever-popular repertoire. For balance hes included a northerner in the line-up (Alan) and an Australian (Graeme) who has toured with KylieMinogue and written film scores for Clint Eastwood. Spike we know well and it will be good to be introduced to Paul and Ian. ...more details

How to get your gig added to the Gig Guide

At present gigs are added to the calendar by a small team of volunteers and friends of Jazz Yorkshire.

We will endeavour to get your gigs added as soon as we can but it is recommended to send them over as early as you can as it might take a few weeks to get them into the guide.

It helps if you can include website links for the artist and promoter as this helps people when they want to find out more about your gig.

It will also be quicker if you can send a Word or RTF document with the details rather than just sending a printed flyer

new feature - residencies

The Gig Guide now includes pub and club gigs which take place on a weekly basis. If you organise or know of a pub gig which should be added please let us know.
